Naked Rugby Power(ade)

Fast-growing Isotonic sports drink brand Powerade is officially endorsed by the RFU, Team GB, the Football League etc.

And their latest campaign features some very splendid rugby stars in er, action.

Top: (now there's a thought) Steve Borthwick; Bottom: (I'm sure he's versatile) Shane Williams

Take That Attitude

One of the UK's top monthly gay mags Attitude has a special four-cover edition of their March issue featuring uber manband Take That.

I know which I'd buy. There's an interview in there too. And some other stuff.

I have to admit though that the outfit and the lighting bring strangely to mind early-80s pop oddball Klaus Nomi. Maybe that's just me.

Contender ready! Gladiator ready!

I'm sure the return of 90s TV hit Gladiators is splendid and all that - naturally, like most people, I've not been watching.

But here is a reason to watch - new Gladiator Goliath.

He's from Wales, his real name is Barri Griffiths, he's a former wrestler and he's six foot six.

And his costume is manly hot pants and a harness. And a beard. Hello! What's not to like about this burly new Gladiator?

Brian Paddick marries arresting young man

Retired senior police offer and failed mayoral and I'm a Celebrity! candidate Brian Paddick out on the town with his handsome son.

No, sorry, my mistake, that's his new husband - Norwegian Petter Belsvik.

Joe Oppedisano Uncensored

Hot on the heels of his fantastic photobook Testosterone, there is a new Joe Oppedisano book called Uncensored.

Uncensored documents Oppedisano as he bravely steps outside his realm of dark, erotically charged dungeons. Each page is injected with a compellingly tantalising display of flesh as he embarks upon his mission with a successful mix of masculinity, sexuality, glam and ironic humour amidst stunningly bright locations. Rugged men openly engage in displays of bondage on urban sidewalks while muscular athletes are captured in breathtaking form surrounded by lush landscapes. Through the lens of his camera, Oppedisano opens a new door with Uncensored, which proudly takes audiences both new and old to another level of artistic vision only previously imagined.

An essential purchase - was unavailable from Amazon all through Christmas and new year but is back in stock now - why not treat yourself to some high class sleaze.

Chris Evans is 'down with the gays'

I read on PerezHilton.com that your younger brother Scott is gay.
Yes, I do have a gay brother. I’m down with the gays. Mostly I’m hanging out with him and his gay buddies, who are fucking hilarious. They’re the funniest people I know.

Do they take you to gay bars?
They’ve invited me out to gay bars before, and I said, “Look, guys, I’ve got to draw the line there.” That’s where a photo will get taken, it will run in magazines, and before you know it, I’ll be living down the gay rumor for the rest of my life.

Hollywood hottie Chris Evans (not the repulsive annoying ginger one from Warrington) in the February 09 issue of The Advocate.

He also discusses how his publicist advises him not to do shirtless beefcake photoshoots for the sake of his career. Shame.

Welcome back to the Ice

It's a most welcome return to ITV's Dancing on Ice as Michael Underwood tries again after breaking his ankle in last season's show.

Michael has the cutest face and the most fantastic smile (and great bumpers). He's a real charmer and hopefully he'll get a proper run at the show this season.

Looks like the unaccountably obnoxious former-X Factor moppet Ray Quinn is the runaway male winner after a convincingly dazzling first appearance.

The 'girls' skate next week - and there is the usual hype about the 'girls', which there never seems to be about the male celebrities. Mind you, I'd do Jessica Taylor's husband ('English' cricketing badboy Kevin Pietersen).

It's also good to see the return of professional boy skaters Fred Palascak (partnering Melinda Messenger), Andrei Lipanov (Jessica Taylor) and the adorable Blackpool lad Daniel Whiston (Roxanne Pallett).

I do love DOI but I think I still prefer Strictly...

Jewellery by Suay Design

I'm not a huge fan of jewellery on men but that's mostly because so many (straight) men wear appalling jewellery. The right pieces on the right bloke can look fantastic. Obviously these things are subject to fashion too - and some things are acceptable and others are simply not - earrings generally, for example, are not, but neck chains and bracelets can be very sexy and manly.

Anyway, this company - Suay Design - had a very good stall at Manchester's Christmas Market this year and they had some very nice men's jewellery - the sort of stuff I'd choose to wear myself (much as I am a big fan of Elizabeth Duke at Argos!). In fact, I bought something for my other half for Christmas from them.

Describing themselves as 'pioneers in contemporary jewellery design' they specialise in Titanium, Sterling Silver, Tungsten Carbide and Stainless Steel jewellery - worth a look.
